Welcome!

Curriculum-02

Welcome to “Short Term Missions Producing Long Term Results”.  This is a 501 C-3 non-profit, established in 2005, by James and Barb Massie, involving global missional endeavors, relief efforts, and providing resources for equipping next generations for cross-cultural serving.  James was blessed to serve as Oak Hills. Church, San Antonio, TX, Short Term Missions Director for 17 years, and Barb as “Short Term Missions” non-profit Children’s Ministry Director. We recently retired from those roles, and have begun a new chapter, and we are redirecting our efforts in a new way.

We have launched this website to aid in on-going relief efforts, and provide access to creative “Village to Village” curriculum for short term mission leaders and children’s ministry leaders in local and global outreach.

Short Term Missions Producing Long Term Results website will include a unique element of equipping, born from leading Children’s Ministry teams cross-culturally.  We saw a great need in village settings to create curriculum stories that would be simplistic in nature, grab children’s curiosity, allow national leaders the chance to see how they could put the story elements together with resources they have in their culture, while involving the children in the process of sharing God’s story! The curriculum will be available to purchase and download, per story or as a collective group of stories. Each story curriculum will contain, Story Cover, Focus, Preparation, Supplies, Story Script and Application Story, Crafts and Games related to each story.

Barb’s personal testimony:

This curriculum development was born from a promise to my Mother, Bertie Grose, to “pass it on” as she asked of each of her children and grandchildren, concerning their “gifts given to them by God”! She was a Bible class teacher for over 40 years! My inspiration! We are indeed striving to “PASS IT ON”!
